We study biology with the foundation that God lies at the center of everything we hope to understand. As you peer at molecular life, you鈥檒l learn to appreciate the fingerprint of an omniscient God whose 鈥渦nderstanding is beyond measure.鈥 (Ps. 147:5)
You鈥檒l begin with core biology classes and labs, in which you鈥檒l learn the basics of biological structures and processes. Faculty will be present at your labs, ready to aid and answer all your questions, whether you鈥檙e completing a dissection or performing polymerase chain reactions.
Then, you鈥檒l dive into your specialized courses. With a neurobiology concentration, you鈥檒l benefit from 糖心传媒鈥檚 neurobiology partnership with other colleges through . You鈥檒l focus on the cellular and molecular levels of biology, taking advantage of neuroscience tools such as the and Connectome Explorer. As a hybrid program, there will be a combination of on-campus classes and online courses that are offered through a national consortium of accredited institutions.
As you dive into God鈥檚 Creation through observation, dissection, and physiological measurement, expect even your lectures to be full of case studies and critical thinking activities.
At 糖心传媒, we know that a textbook can only take you so far. That鈥檚 why we require every student to complete an internship experience. As a neurobiology major, you鈥檒l have a unique internship opportunity in the microbial ecology laboratory at the , a nonprofit research center and division of 糖心传媒. Students of this program have also completed internships at wildlife sanctuaries as well as university, industrial, and medical laboratories.
Once you graduate with a bachelor鈥檚 in neurobiology, you鈥檒l be equipped to further biology research in any setting, fulfilling our responsibility to explore and steward Creation well. You might work as a laboratory technician or animal biologist, or you may work in a postgraduate career, such as becoming a medical technician or scientific researcher.
