We live in a beautiful environment in which safety and security are the responsibility of all its members.

The Campus Safety Department is located in Indiana Hall second-floor room #230. The primary role of this department is to be a service for the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ campus. This is accomplished through observation, reports, documentation, and when necessary, taking such action as is deemed appropriate to promote safety of the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Community. Campus Safety is available 24 hours a day throughout the year by calling (574) 269-5344.

The Department is responsible for enforcing all campus traffic regulations, general campus patrolling, conducting fire drills, issuing tornado alerts, and investigating any reported incidents. ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ is an alcohol, tobacco and weapons-free campus.

• Safe Ride
  Campus Safety provides a transportation service that provides students with safe rides to their place of residence during the evening hours. Students can call campus safety at (574) 269-5344 from dusk until 1 a.m. to receive a ride.
• Safety Services
  Campus Safety is available to provide unlock services for vehicles, jump starts for dead batteries, and various minor maintenance issues. Assistance with opening buildings and dorm rooms is also available. Please take time to learn about crime prevention and personal safety for yourself and the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ community. Information and awareness are your best weapons against crime and accidents.
• Visitors to Campus
  When you visit campus please feel free to park in any available regular parking spot. There are also marked spots for visitors outside of the Visitor’s Center in front of Westminster Hall. All vehicles on campus must observe all traffic rules and regulations, including yielding the right of way to pedestrians, observing stop signs, and maintaining a speed of 15 MPH or less.
  

If you have a police or medical emergency, dial 911. Any crime or suspicious activity should be reported immediately to the Campus Safety Department.  All other campus related urgent messages and all non-emergency contact with local agencies must be directed through the Campus Safety Department at (574) 269-5344. Campus Safety’s telephone number is answered 24 hours a day.
