Stress, Wellness, and Quality of Life: Investigates factors that trigger or prevent the stress response and their consequences on physical and mental wellbeing and performance. Created models of how demands and resources contribute to wellbeing, and how burnout and engagement influence health and performance outcomes. Plans multidisciplinary research integrating emotional competencies, clinical physiological and chemical responses to stress, and neurological triggers.

Culture and Values: Examines the role of personal and organizational values in driving culture. Developed a theory of Cultural Agency (article in progress). Studies positive and negative psychological states of engagement and burnout and their effect on personal and organizational outcomes. Works in areas of values and values congruence and their impacts on performance and cross-cultural interactions.

Research Skills: Specializes in integrating psychometric, biometric, and organizational data. Primary mode of study is quantitative analysis of psychometric data from surveys. Chief analytical methods include Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), path analysis, decision tree analysis, linear and logistical regression, and Bayesian probability analysis. Proficient with SPSS, Lisrel, AMOS, and R..

Developed Scales/Measurement Models: Includes a measure for accident propensity among nurses, a proxy measure for risk of Metabolic Syndrome (combining biometric data and medication usage), and a construct called Affinity (determining an individual鈥檚 feelings towards the nature of their work).
