As an accounting major at ���Ĵ�ý, you will learn to examine financial records, keep track of income, and assess financial risk in corporate, non profit, or government spheres.

In the School of Business, we hold God’s Word to the highest authority in our lives and view accounting as a direct way to reflect who Jesus is and serve other image-bearers. Accounting is an opportunity to bring order and honesty and to represent Christ to people who may have no other witness. Your professors will practice what they preach. In fact, many of our students find that their time in the classroom leads to a mentor relationship with a professor.

Your beginning courses will help you grasp the foundational elements of business, such as economics, and financial law. You will also dive into the world of accounting through our tax, auditing, and intermediate and financial accounting courses. While the coursework is rigorous, ���Ĵ�ý provides labs in nearly every accounting class, where you can work alongside your peers.

Looking for hands-on experience on campus as well? VITA, our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance gives you experience preparing taxes for members of the Kosciusko County community. You will also explore job opportunities during your required semester-long internship. ���Ĵ�ý makes this easy to find through its annual Accounting Career Fair, where 30+ companies interview students on campus for internships (and some full-time positions!). 

There are many job opportunities for those with an accounting degree. Among those are: auditor, chief financial officer, partner at a CPA firm, tax professional.

���Ĵ�ý’s accounting major will prepare you to ace the CPA exam with flying colors. Previously named the top accounting program in Indiana for “First-Time, Small Program” CPA pass rates,   one ���Ĵ�ý accounting graduate was named a High-Grade Winner by the Indiana Certified Public Accountant Society (INCPAS). 

Upon graduating with an accounting degree, you will add value to your workplace, serve others, and influence the people around you for Christ.
