This fall, ���Ĵ�ý welcomes four new faculty members:��, assistant professor of biology, , assistant professor of behavioral science, , assistant professor of marketing and international business and , instructor of communication.

Dr. Steve Douglas, a Ph.D. graduate from Purdue University, is joining ���Ĵ�ý’s . A translational nutritional physiologist, he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented at national conferences on appetite control, satiety and dietary interventions.

In addition to his research, Douglas worked at Winona IT as project manager, data engineer, fractional chief data officer, AI consultant and data analyst. Douglas brings these diverse experiences to the classroom, designing hands-on activities with practical applications and leveraging technology to help students connect research insights to real-world contexts.

“I’m most looking forward to ministering to college students and being able to discuss how our faith and Scripture should frame how we view and serve others in the world,” said Douglas.

Dr. Derrick Angier, new to the , agrees. After teaching at a large secular university, Angier has developed a profound appreciation for what it means to teach from a Christian perspective at a Christ-centered college.

“I appreciate ���Ĵ�ý’s solid theology, talented faculty and concerted efforts to educate students holistically,”  said Angier. “I look forward to equipping them with skills for a career, for life and for spiritual maturity.”

Angier holds a B.A. degree in Psychology and History from Dordt University and completed his M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of New Hampshire. While at the University of New Hampshire, Angier was mentored by Dr. John D. Mayer, a leading scholar in the fields of emotional and personal intelligence. His research explores personality traits, intelligence, online interaction, pro-social and aggressive behaviors, video game engagement and psychometrics.

Scott Moodie is the newest addition to . He also holds an MRes in Management Sciences, an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and a B.A. from Cedarville University. Moodie’s expertise spans organizational behavior, international business, strategy and wellness.

Passionate about experiential learning, Moodie emphasizes active student participation, case studies and applied projects to equip students with tools for global leadership and innovation.

“I spent most of my adult life working in academia and the corporate sector across various countries and organizations worldwide,” said Moodie. “The diversity of contexts and experiences has been particularly useful for my teaching areas and private consulting. After teaching remotely the last few years, I’m looking forward to being back in a physical classroom and interacting with the students.”

Ms. Alicia Meyer joins the  after serving as part-time faculty at ���Ĵ�ý since 2020, teaching both communication courses and ���Ĵ�ý Core courses. She holds a B.A. from Malone University and an M.A. from Grand Canyon University. With expertise in interpersonal and group communication, her teaching brings an emphasis to discussion, collaboration and humanist, constructivist pedagogy.

Beyond the classroom, Meyer brings extensive experience with student affairs, having worked in residence life, admissions and student involvement. These roles shaped her passion for student development and informed her understanding of the interpersonal dynamics that impact community life.

“I’ve delighted in watching students learn in my classroom the last five years, and now I’m excited to see that on a larger, more consistent scale,” said Meyer. “At ���Ĵ�ý, we get to journey with students as we seek to love the Lord with our whole mind, as well as heart, soul and strength. Smaller classes rich in discussion and the personal relationships with students open doors for meaningful faith integration while developing excellent communication skills that will build the Kingdom far beyond graduation.”
