���Ĵ�ý will host its 34th annual FunFest on Friday, Oct. 25 from 6-8 p.m. in the Gordon Health and Wellness Center, 100 Publishers Dr., Winona Lake. FunFest is a free trick-or-treat style event open to the public. This year’s theme is superheroes. Families can bring their children to enjoy carnival-style games, craft-based activities, prizes and a bounce house.

“FunFest builds bridges between ���Ĵ�ý and the community,” said Alicia Meyer, ���Ĵ�ý’s director of student involvement. “We know there’s a need for warm, safe and family-friendly activities in October, and we love providing that space for the community. The event also encourages students to connect with families in the area, reminding them of the importance of being an engaged community member before and after graduation.”

, ���Ĵ�ý’s student-led ministry formerly called Serve, will once again coordinate FunFest.

“When it comes to putting on an event as meaningful as FunFest, my greatest joy is serving alongside other ���Ĵ�ý students to make it happen,” said Samantha Fudge, student coordinator of & Action. “Without their willing hands, feet and hearts, none of it could come together.”

Meyer estimates that the event will have 75 student volunteers and 500 participants.

“We’re hoping to see heroes of all kinds,” said Meyer, speaking on FunFest’s theme. “Every kid will have the chance to be a hero.”

“I am excited to see the enthusiasm of families as they enjoy all that we have put on for them,” said Fudge. “To see it all come to fruition with the help of ���Ĵ�ý students will be rewarding. We have some fun and epic things planned!”
